Take your skills to the next level in Intro to Foraging Part 2, an immersive follow-up designed to deepen your confidence and expand your knowledge of wild edibles. Building on the foundations from Part 1, this hands-on experience dives further into plant identification, advanced harvesting techniques, and practical applications in the kitchen and beyond.
Led by experienced guide Tim Frost (Hoosier Forager), you’ll refine your observation skills, learn to distinguish more challenging species and their look-alikes, and explore a wider variety of seasonal plants. We’ll discuss habitat patterns, sustainable harvesting strategies, and how to assess plant health and abundance before gathering.
Participants will also gain practical tips for processing, preserving, and preparing wild foods turning your foraged finds into flavorful, nourishing additions to your meals. Along the way, we’ll continue emphasizing ethical foraging practices, ecological stewardship, and building a respectful relationship with the land.
