Learn how to use the Riso printer to make art, cards, posters, zines and more!
Learn about our Riso printer in this fun workshop! The Riso is a piece of printmaking equipment that looks like a photocopier but is actually a stencil duplicator. Riso prints are vibrant and eco-friendly with oil based inks. Take the workshop to see how this office equipment is used in the wonderful world of independent publishing and printmaking!
This workshop is beginner and expert friendly. No technology experience is required. Workshop will cover the history of Riso, how to use the glass bed scanner for working analog, and layering two colors at a time. Print a 11x17 poster in any two of our available colors and share your posters with a print exchange at the end of the workshop!
You will be able to schedule time to use the Riso independently after taking this workshop. You will walk away with a color chart for our Riso inks, packets of resources for Riso printing, and a small edition of 11x17 prints. Handouts for printing art digitally will also be supplied for those interested in exploring digital Riso design after the workshop.
Registration opens two weeks prior to workshop. Ages 13+.
