Collaborate with other artists to compile a one-of-a-kind Riso calendar for 2026.
Each artist in this workshop will be given a month to design for. We'll give you some pointers on formatting and show you all of the unique ways calendars can be designed. Spend some time designing in-class, then watch your design become Riso-ified. After we print everyone's months we will walk you through how to bind your calendar with our Cinch spiral binder and you will have a beautiful, unique product full of art from your fellow community members. Kick off 2026 with a creative and collaborative project!
Plan on bringing your own digital design tools (i.e. iPad, laptop) or use our analog materials to make your design. This class is open for all - Riso beginners or experts alike!
Riso is a machine that looks like a photocopier but is actually a stencil duplicator. Riso makes stencils based on your original art and makes prints in beautiful, vibrant, eco-friendly inks. This machine used to be used for offices and schools but is now a champion of printmakers and small presses everywhere.
Registration opens two weeks prior to class. Ages 16+.
Note: The success of this project depends on having 12 artists for 12 months. PLEASE, if you feel you have concerns or scheduling conflicts, reach out as soon as possible to allow folks on the waitlist to participate.
