ABOUT USING THE LIBRARY GET INVOLVED
Make mixed media prints with the Chine-collé printmaking technique.
Chine-collé is a printmaking technique that makes a print and glues papers together at the same time. Traditionally, chine-collé would create a print of an etching on a thin piece of paper and glue the thin paper to a thicker paper in one motion. "Chine" comes from the French "China", where the thin papers were often sourced from, and "collé" is French "glue" (just like "collage"!).
Stop by during this special Spring Break Art Lab to make a Chine-collé print of your own! Using our relief-cut stamps and tissue paper, you will make a mixed media Chine-collé print of your very own. All materials provided. Registration begins two weeks prior to workshop. Ages 8+.
