Go back in time through archaeology!
At Strawtown Koteewi Park, evidence of long-ago plant domestication and farming have been recovered by professional archaeological excavations. These discoveries help inform us about the past foodways of Indiana’s First Farmers. Hamilton County Parks and Recreation's Christy Brocken will explore the relationship between plant remains recovered from the archaeological record and how archaeologists theorize they were utilized by the people who originally cared for them here in Hamilton County and the surrounding areas.
