Maker-in-Residence: For the Love of Animals: Clay

Create a special little animal or creature, toy or sculpture that carries a positive saying or expresses words of affirmation out of clay using the pinch method. Tips will be offered about adding texture and building a small pocket to hold a poem or words of inspiration. A small loop on the top or side of your creation can be added if you wish to hang it. Students will have the option of using underglaze to personalize their piece. Your clay piece will be kept in the maker’s home studio until dry and fired in her kiln with pick up at a later date. All materials provided. Registration begins two weeks prior to class. Ages 10+.
