Noblesville

Meeting Room- B

Join local award-winning author Larry D. Sweazy for an interactive writing workshop and author talk.

Here’s the big secret about writing fiction and writing first novels: The hardest part is finishing what you start. Great ideas tire out. Real life gets in the way. Doubt overtakes the dream. In this interactive workshop, Larry D. Sweazy will share proven tips and help you to build the skills a new writer needs to finish that special first novel or writing project. Topics discussed will be time management, building a toolbox, finding support, writing tips, and most importantly living life as writer even if you’re not published. Attendees should be prepared to write in class. Registration is required. Ten attendees selected at random will receive a paperback set of the Marjorie Trumaine Mysteries, including See Also Murder, See Also Deception, and See Also Proof!

Bio: Larry D. Sweazy is the critically acclaimed, multiple-award-winning author of nineteen novels, one short story collection, and forty short stories, including the Trusty Dawson, U.S. Deputy Marshal Westerns, the Sonny Burton series, the Josiah Wolfe Westerns, and the Marjorie Trumaine Mysteries. A two-time Spur Award winner and recipient of the Western Fictioneers Peacemaker Award, he has also received four Will Rogers Medallion Awards, the Elmer Kelton Book Award, the Best Books of Indiana Award, the Willa Award, has been a Derringer Award finalist and shortlisted for the Indiana Authors Award three times. He lives in Noblesville with his wife, Rose, where he is hard at work on his next book.
