Make a mixed media print using the Chine-collé printmaking technique during the Fishers Make-Off.
Chine-collé is a printmaking technique that makes a print and glues papers together at the same time. Traditionally, chine-collé would create a print of an etching on a thin piece of paper and glue the thin paper to a thicker paper in one motion. "Chine" comes from the French "China", where the thin papers were often sourced from, and "collé" is French "glue" (just like "collage"!).
Stop by during this Public Maker Challenge to make a Chine-collé print of your own! Using our relief-cut stamps and tissue paper, you will make a mixed media Chine-collé print of your very own. Enter to win a prize! Art supply gift baskets will be awarded in the following categories: Youth, Teen, Adult, and Families. Judging awards given out at 12:30 PM.
