Calling all cosplayers! Unleash your inner geek and show off your creative talents at our LibraryCon! Cosplay Contest!
Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, everyone is welcome. From superheroes to villains, anime characters to video game legends, we want to see your best interpretations. Win amazing prizes and bragging rights! Open to all ages.
To enter the cosplay contest, you must register onsite. Registration will open at 10:00am--look for the registration table outside of the Center Room. Entrants will be judged in two divisions: Youth (ages 17 and under), and Adults (ages 18 and up). Prizes will be awarded to the top scoring entrants in the following categories:
Please review the judging criteria and general cosplay guidelines. These cosplay guidelines will apply to all who are costumed or cosplaying at LibraryCon!, not just contest entrants.
Contest entrants should have a digital or printed reference image of the inspiration/source character(s) ready to show the judge(s) during the contest.
If you are cosplaying or costumed, you are welcome to walk in the parade even if you are not entering the cosplay contest. The parade will begin shortly after 1pm. The starting and ending point will be the Center Room. The parade will make a loop around the upper level of the library. After the parade, cosplay contest judging will commence in East/Center/Stage, followed by the award announcements.
