Ignite Studio Classroom

Hamilton East Public Library has unveiled a new public art piece, "Knowledge" by artists Rude Calderon and Roberto Delgado. This class will meet in the Ignite classroom and will begin by taking a guided walk to view the artwork located on the South end of the building. Participants will then meet back at the classroom for a hands-on activity to experience the complex work of turning a 2D sketch into a three-dimensional sculpture. Participants will think about space, color, depth, shape and other elements of art to turn a provided painting into a 3D maquette. Learn about the process of creating public art from beginning to end in this workshop! Ages 14+.
