Ignite Maker-in-Residence Studio
Learn to make intricate traditional itajime patterns and processes on paper! Explore Japanese fold, clamp, and dye shibori techniques in many different colors and pattern variations. Itajime can be highly skilled and controlled and always offers unexpected surprises. Work from simple to complex as you create amazing patterned papers. To finish, use your designs to embellish a paper lantern, turning your designs into a stunning illuminated piece of art! This is a workshop packed with information, demonstrations, experimentation, invention and your own creativity! Registration begins two weeks prior to class. Ages 10+.
Our Maker-In-Residence is offering this class repeatedly to allow a variety of patrons to be able to attend. In fairness to other patrons, please register only once for this class during the residency. Thank you!
