ABOUT USING THE LIBRARY GET INVOLVED
Join us any time during this lab to make a Kusama inspired craft. Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama is famous for her sculptural art installations that focus on the pattern and repetition of polka dots. She puts them on everything - including pumpkins! Come make a 3D paper pumpkin and decorate it with your own vision of infinite dots. Celebrate Halloween in polka-dotted style. All materials provided. Ages 6+.
“With just one polka dot, nothing can be achieved. In the universe, there is the sun, the moon, the earth, and hundreds of millions of stars. All of us live in the unfathomable mystery and infinitude of the universe. Pursuing 'philosophy of the universe' through art under such circumstances has led me to what I call 'stereotypical repetition.'” - Yayoi Kusama
